Poetry: Missing someone

by Barbi

Created on: December 01, 2008

I think endless thoughts,
I write and I write,
I sleep away days,
and lie awake endless nights.

The pain in this loss,
of not having what was,
Broke without reason,
without a just cause.

No point in conflict,
no point in rage,
Please leave me to wither,
alone in my cage.

The cage that has trapped me,
for too many years,
the cage that entraps me,
while shedding my tears.

I miss you my darling,
your laugh and your touch,
I miss all those moments,
I miss you so much.
