My thoughts, they scatter like the wind.
The horrible loss, of a lifelong friend.
It leaves me empty, until the end. These are the seeds of despair!
The homeless and ill, that wander the streets.
Will I be one of them, when we next meet?
Will you know my face, when you intend to meet? This is the meaning of despair!
I often wonder as days go by, Do you remember me? The day I died?
You left the rose, upon the ground. I watched you leave, both lost and found.
So now I wander, this cold, cold ground. Knowing the truth of despair!
I sat behind you, in the church pew. I felt your sadness, and then I knew.
This was my pentance, of which I'd earned. Thank you God, for now I've learned.
The true meaning of despair, is the greatest loss. You can't comprehend in the cold and frost.
Or even in the light of day. The sun's intense light, can't turn it away. So my brethren, I'm here to say.
This is the meaning of despair!
