"Are the Christian Gospels really good news?"

If a poll were taken worldwide-with no religious connection whatsoever-how many would vote that they had no hope of happiness or fulfillment in this life-or the next?

Look around you. Television, radio, newspapers and the internet boldly splash the news of suicides, mass murderers, wars caused by hatred and envy, lies and deceit-by others and even the governments of this world.

How many have stopped reading the paper and watching the news because "There is never any good news!"? How depressing is it to read or listen to the daily news-especially on holidays, when suicides are the most prevalent? At the times when people are supposed to be celebrating life-and one another-they are taking their own lives in despair and hopelessness!

Why? What is wrong with this picture? What is wrong with the world today?

The Good News- The Gospel of Jesus Christ -has not yet reached the world !

We have become so jaded, so heartless, so discouraged by the world we live in- that we no longer believe the Christian Gospels ourselves; they have become pretty words that we have memorized from childhood-but no longer believe in. They have been outlawed, misaligned, misinterpreted and all but condemned as a cult in a Godless world.

Why would anybody in their right mind want to destroy the only True Love this world has? The only GOOD NEWS this world has? The only HOPE this world has? Well, there's your answer: those who deny and try to subvert the Christian gospels are NOT in their right mind! God created us to love Him. He left us His "love letter"; the Holy Bible: the Christian Gospels. Why?

God knew that we were going to bury ourselves so deeply in sin that the only way out for us was for Him to send His Only Begotten Son-Jesus Christ-to die on the cross for our sins. Think about that for a moment. If the need would not have been literally LIFE AND DEATH: Our Heavenly Father would NOT have had to send Jesus Christ to die for our sins. But He did! He sent us the Ultimate Sacrifice that we may have a chance- in spite of ourselves-to spend eternity in Heaven with Him.

We are not lemmings! We cannot mindlessly follow every ridiculous study or investigation which occurs to disclaim and dishonor what we know in our hearts and souls to be the truth!

We-as Christians-the largest religion in this world-are supposed to be the light of the world - as Jesus Christ is our light! We are supposed to-and charged to-take the Gospel into all the world - just as Jesus Himself charged His disciples to do!

We are the current-day disciples of Jesus Christ., spreading the Christian Gospels to all. I am reminded here of a bumper-sticker I saw many years ago:

"If you were on trial for being a Christian-would there be enough evidence to convict you?"

Would there?

The scriptures tell us that Jesus will come like a thief in the night! No man knows the day or hour in which Jesus will return for His people! Even the angels in heaven do not know!

We - Christians- have the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ !

Now. Here's the good question:

"Just what are we going to do with that Gospel-with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?"

Are we willing to sit or stand by and watch the enemy drown the Gospel of Jesus Christ in doubt, ridicule and lies?

Of this you may be sure: we are each going to stand before Jesus Christ in judgment on Judgment Day! There is no way to avoid that future: nowhere that anyone may hide.

What are you going to say when Jesus asks YOU: "What have you done - in My name?"
