As a party-loving teenage girl, I have some great party ideas up my sleeve! I have planned several parties both for me and my friend. I have many ideas, but my top three are a old styleHollywood party, a pajama makeover party, and a crafts for charity party.
Old Style Hollywood Party:
Set up & Party Favors: First of all, the whole party should be black, white, and red. If you can get a red carpet leading to the entrance of the party, it will be extra fun. You could even use a thin plastic tablecloth. Spice up the inside with all sorts of Hollywood props. A stand up of an old Hollywood star or the hosts favorite star is always fun for pictures. Tell everyone ahead of time to dress in black and white and give them red lipstick as a party favor. You could get chalk directors clap boards as another party favor.
Activity:You could also split the party into groups of 4-6 and give each group some props and they have to make a skit using the props. Set off a little stage area for the group to preform on. You could even film this. Then have everyone pose for fun pictures with the stand up star. Also, an old black and white movie makes good entertainment.
Refreshments: For refreshments you have popcorn, soda, and cookies. For the cookies, a fun idea is to make cookies in a shape of a star and have everyone sign their name on it in frosting like a star on the walk of fame!
Pajama Makeover Party:
Set up & Party Favors: For the set up on this party you would want pillows everywhere! It could be a sleepover party or just a late night. Tell everyone to wear pajamas. For party favors, some fun ideas are sleeping masks, nail polish, or a little stuffed animal.
Activity: Start out with some beauty treatments! Simple facials and toe nail painting are both easy to do. While your toes are drying, a fun game to play would be truth or dare. Then everyone could get in a circle with hair supplies on hand. Face each other's backs and do the hair of the person in front of you!
Refreshments: For refreshments you could have minisandwiches, punch, and some candies. Make it kind of like a little tea party.
Crafts for Charity Party:
Set up & Party Favors: For this party you would get a table or two with cute table cloths. Set out beads, string, and other jewelry making supplies. Play some music and make the party as fun as possible. For the party favors, you could have them keep one thing they made.
Activity: The activity is to make bracelets and necklacesfor a charity. Call a local United Way and find a charity or a women's crisis center you could donate jewelry to. The women in those centers often leave with nothing and would love to have some jewelry to make them feel pretty! Every now and then you can have a break to show each other what you are working on and you could eat or play a game.
Refreshments: Cookies/cake/cupcakes, soda or punch, and maybe some ice cream is good for this party. If you plan on working for a long time, maybe you could supply some more substantial food as well.
