Well it finally happened, I got caught. It truly wasn't my fault you know, what is a kid supposed to do? Well, never mind I am getting ahead of myself, let me tell you the whole story in order.
It was a fine summer day about two years ago. I was only fifteen years old then. My parents were both working and I was their only son. I was bored, and we didn't have very much money. I was walking around bored, not being able to go to the movies or McDonalds with my friend Billy. I passed by Mr. Petersons house. He had just come back from the grocery store and was carrying his bags to the door. Sitting on the top of one of the bags I saw a box of Twinkies. Now I have to tell you that Twinkies are my favorite food in the entire world! Unfortunately my family never had enough money to buy them, so I was stuck dreaming about them every night. Anyway so when I saw that I ran over to Mr. Peterson and asked if he wanted help carrying his grocery's to the door. He said readily agreed and I took the bag with the Twinkies in it. Mr. Peterson must have noticed I was starring at the Twinkies the whole time because when we came inside he said,
"Hey Luke, thanks for helping me. Would you like a Twinkie as a special treat?" I shook my head yes.
"Alright, alright, you don't have to try and snap your neck off, Sheesh." I was surprised that he did not get one of the Twinkies out of the bag and hand it to me. Instead he walked over to the door leading to his basement, which was near the front door.
"Follow me." He whispered then started heading down the stairs. I was thinking to myself that was kind of creepy, but I really wanted a Twinkie! So I followed him down the stairs into his dark basement. When we got to the bottom, he switched on the light and behold! Shelves and shelves filled with Twinkies! I couldn't believe it, it was just too amazing to have all these Twinkies in one place. He walked over to one of the shelves and pulled off three Twinkies and tossed them to me.
"There you go. Have a nice day Luke."
I walked out of the house, but when I got outside I gobbled down all three at once. (I took the wrappers off of course.) Everyday after that I couldn't stop thinking about the Twinkies. I wanted them so badly, there just had to be a way to get more. I walked by Mr. Petersons house every day. One day I had an idea, the idea that would get me in trouble later. It was late in the evening and I thought maybe I could sneak into Mr. Petersons house and take a few Twinkies without him
