I was born walking,
a nomad on life's long highway.
I travel the path
set before me long before today.
I know not where
it will take me or how far
But I will not falter;
I'll keep my feet on the tar.
I have no map nor guide
no signposts or traffic lights.
Just a heart and a soul to
guide me through the long nights.
I am an adventurer
born and bred to travel life's path.
At least until I pass on
and succumb to life's ultimate wrath.
I travel the road before me
and I know not where I will go.
I do not really care either
it is not important for me to know.
I do not travel the road alone
At times, life tosses me a friend.
I am grateful for those times
even though they may soon end.
Life's path can be harsh
and cruel and painful at times
But it can also bring joys
even despite my lousy rhymes.
But if there's one thing
I could wish you to know today
It's that you are never alone
not ever on life's pathway.
