GEN REL A NEW RELIGION IS FOUNDED
The problem with current options in religion is that each type tends to presume they have the only one true path to communicating with God, and all other religions are heresy. Thus the practitioners of these other religions are sub-human. A lot of death and destruction has resulted from religious differences.
This trend needs to be reversed.
Instead of trying to be different, the proposed new world religion assumes everyone is right.
This new world religion is called Gen Rel, which is short for Generic Religion.
The basic dogma is Gen Rel is that the core message is pretty much the same, the differences are in the presentation. Thus the Gen Rel religious book is a compendium of the best of other religions. A little Torah, a little New Testament, a little Buddhism, and so forth. If you look beyond the language and cultural differences, you'd be surprised how universal many beliefs really area. The "truth" is not in the specific words.it is in the basic message.
Whatever else religion is, a primary function of churches and other organizational manifestations is to raise money to keep the religion's priests, ministers, imams, and whatever fed and clothed and the roof maintained.
Thus organized religion tends to have various specialized ways to keep the cash flow going.
Gen Rel adopts all of the proven religious fund-raising techniques from bingo to selling seats in the religious services room.
Gen Rel does not believe in excommunication, because this reduces the number of potential dues-paying members.
Gen Rel does not actively seek new members, because our followers have figured out that sooner or later many people will figure out organized religion is more of a racket, and justifying killing someone else in the name of a religion really doesn't sound like what God intended. Thus Gen Rel has enormous growth potential.
Gen Rel doesn't have any particular symbols, other than maybe a uniform price code.
Gen Rel does have something like some core beliefs. They are:
-God is so infinitely powerful He/She doesn't need to keep sending us messengers who get killed.
-Everything, animate or inanimate is the creation of God and is imbued with Spirit, so treat everything and everyone really nice.
-What goes around comes around, so every nasty thing you do is going to come back and bite you.
-Always be positive and loving, because that creates good energy and offsets all the negative hateful energy out there.
-The Universe is a vast and wonderful creation with its own rules we can't even begin to fully understand.
-There is purpose for everything, the trick is figuring out what that purpose really is.
-Your light cannot be diminished so that someone else feels more secure.
-You cannot love anyone else until you learn to love yourself.
-Forgiveness doesn't mean the other person was right. It means you are moving on with your life without thoughts of anger or revenge.
-Every second you spend in negative thought is a waste of precious time and energy.
-Everything matters. There is no small stuff.
-Treat everyone like they are beautiful and wonderful and important and as if they are part of God because they are.
