Poetry: Love from afar

by Vic A. Fury

Created on: November 28, 2008

From behind this light-up screen your words they come to me,
Like sweet poetic dreams,
But what does all this really mean?

So much in common yet, so far apart,
Sending each other our most treasured art,
Both seeking comfort from our bleeding hearts,

You wish for freedom, but can you be sure,
That what you seek is what I'm asking for,
If it is so, then let us spread our wings and soar.

This leap of faith, it all feels so... right
The curtains are down and we are out of sight,
But when they go up, will we be no more than deer in head lights?
