Norton Antivirus 2008 is a very unusual Antivirus released by Symantec. Usually Norton Antivirus was one of most used Antivirus by users, but due to the new changes made to this Antivirus people do not prefer using it as before.

Norton Antivirus software that were released in the past years were effective software that used to detect all virus but at the same time keep the computer usage low. Nowadays, taking Norton 2008 as an example, we see that the computer is dramatically affected by Norton Antivirus 2008.

The computer's speed is slowed down a lot and using any other programs become almost impossible. Well, the RAM ca be increased but not everybody would be ready to spend money as now many people are having financial problems.

Norton Antivirus 2008 is a very effective software when it comes to virus but then the problem that many people face with it is the vast amounts of memory it uses to run. If someone with Norton Antivirus 2008 wants to play a game that uses a lot of memory, it wouldn't work. An Antivirus cannot be a reason for a computer to slow down. Most people also install Antivirus softwares to avoid virus, Trojan Horses, Spyware, adware and so on. And these threats surely do cause a computer to slow down.

But if the Antivirus itself is slowing down your computer what are you supposed to do other than going for a better one which keeps you safe from threats as well as not affect your computer's processing speed.

There is this software company that produces a very good Antivirus software which actually does keep you safe from threats as well as not affect your computer's processing speed. The software is called Kaspersky Internet Security. It is a very nice software. As I have tried using it I did not have any problems with threats nor any processing speed problems. The Norton Antivirus is widely used because of it's massive publicity it has but I think there are many other software solutions that are better than Symantec products.

If these programs get the necessary exposure many people would surely switch from Norton because I'm sure it does use up an incredible amount of the computer's memory. thus, causing an overall deterioration of all the programs running on that particular computer. As I would and as many other people who have had bad experiences with Norton, I recommend you to switch to Kaspersky Internet Security. As everybody would like to have not only a clean and safe computer but a fast one too.
