Democratic party: Iraq policy

Corporatism

This is the new socio-economic zeitgeist of the United States of America. Unlike Socialism, where everything is owned by the state, in corporatism, everything is owned by corporations.

Including the state.

But what about democracy? Free market? Capitalism? Well, if you follow the news, and watch as bailout after bailout gets flung out by the so called capitalist American government, then you understand that the free market is officially dead.

Instead, we have corporatism. Basically, corporations are just gangs. Liken to a government, except they have no intrinsic connection to an area. They are an organization of people, with their own self serving agendas, and they do what is necessary to win. In today's world, corporate loyalty far outweighs patriotism and often religious beliefs. Instead of board rooms discussing how to better the state of their country, or do good to mankind, they openly hire experts to lecture them on legal loopholes allowing them to hire cheap illegal slave labor.

These corporations then exert their power through the form of money, media propaganda, and sometimes outright violence, to control our government. The word lobbyist is thrown around constantly on the news, but too many Americans turn a blind eye to this word. A lobbyist is a professional briber. A man hired by a company to do whatever it takes to influence politicians to help his corporation. The very idea that "lobbyists" serve as campaign staff- even campaign managers- for public officials of the United States is luducrous. Elected officials, by the nature of the job, are supposed to be working for the People.

Not a corporation.

This brings me to the topic of this article. The democrats' Iraq policy.

Only two years ago, with violence on an uptick, the democratic party was elected to end the war in Iraq. The war that has been so lucrative for so many powerful corporations. From Haliburton to Blackwater, these gangsters are making a fortune. They absolutely do not care if the United States goes bankrupt. As far as they are concerned, they can always move to an island in Dubai.

Yet, the democratic party did nothing. They offerred lame excuses, but to any rational observer it was obvious that the Iraq was sanctioned, if silently, by the democratic party as well as the republican party.

Now Barack Obama has been elected. Originally, removing troops from Iraq was a centerpiece of his campaign, but as election day drew near, all mention of the Iraq war disipated from the cable
