At the foot of the cross
Gambling for the Savior's clothes
Will I ever wise up?
Who really knows?
I seem to take all the good things in life
Squeeze them too hard
And create more strife
I take what I want and throw the rest away
Saying "Forget the future
I live for today"
But the future becomes today
And I am starting again
Just spinning my wheels
I cannot win.
I'm sorry that I've grown weak
I'm sorry I'm silent when I should speak
I want to be the man that you used to know
Nursing your wounds and helping you grow.
I'm a blooming flower but you are the stem
When I wanted to drown
You helped me to swim
Keeping me afloat
Yeah, keeping me alive
Giving me a reason to want to survive
You showed me that love
Is stronger than hate
You also showed me
That it is never too late
To make my come back
To start again
You showed me that there is no unforgivable sin.

Come whisper to me gently, let it echo through the night
let it travel through the mist in the shadows of the
Render yourself to the earth, moon and sky,
Don't be too proud, when things go awry,
Keep your heart pure, and open your mind,

I don't think I can forget!
I'm trying to forget all the memories
I'm trying so hard to move on,
I'm trying to just forget
