teaching tool for both kids and students is flash cards. Use index cards or thick construction paper as the actual card. Let students write the math problems, shapes, or other related problems on the card. Fold a piece of construction paper in half and staple it up the sides so that the students will have an envelope to store the cards in.
* Social Studies * ~ A variety of projects can be created when studying Social Studies and Geography. Let students create volcanoes or the earth. They can even create models of mountains, plains, valleys, and other geographical territories using play dough, moon sand, or a variety of other easy to mold items.
* Seasonal Projects * ~ Creating holiday crafts helps a child get in the spirit of the holidays. It also can teach them about certain things. For example, Thanksgiving crafts such as headdresses, beads, and hand-traced turkeys will serve as learning tools when studying Native Americans.
The best creative teaching tool of all is an open mind.
Keep a variety of projects and tools on hand to spice things up for students. Be willing to try new things. Accept suggestions from students and give less than traditional methods a try. There is a great big world of teaching tool possibilities out there. Embrace them, and you will show a student that learning truly can be fun!
