Learning to ski is a relatively hard and a somewhat painful experience at times. But it's a BLAST. Some of the most fun I ever had was on the mountain learning to ski.

First off, why would anyone want to learn to ski online, how much fun is that? Say you were half way through your lessons and you forgot to keep you skis straight, wouldn't you rather have someone tell you then instead of finding out the next day when you get on the computer that you skied wrong your entire trip? Ski coaches allow you to at least have someone to talk to while you practice! With online ski lessons you are out there alone practicing, talking to yourself. "Ok now, french fry, not pizza, french fry." Honestly, people will think you're crazy!

Let us not forget how hard it is to coax yourself down a mountain alone. One of the hardest things about learning to ski for me was getting past that first black diamond. I was nervous out of my mind going down that big hill, and I had an instructor to help me! Now imagine going down an icy slope at an ungodly angle, with no one there to tell you that you just have to make it through that next five minutes and get down the hill. Not fun like skiing should be. Sure when you finally make it down, the online ski lessons pay off, and you avoid paying a lot for an instructor. If you can't get over that first hill though, than you can't go any farther, and it takes a touch of insanity to push yourself to do that.

Now I'm not going to lie to you, skiers need to have a little insanity in them to ever start skiing whatsoever. It is an insane sport! Dangerous and nerve-wracking half the time your up there. That's why people love it! That's is most definitely why I love it! And learning how to ski online seems to not cut it. It seems to me like taking the fun from it. It just isn't extreme enough, you know. It's like as Dr. Evil from Austin Powers says, "It's the margarine of extreme, the diet coke of extreme, just not extreme enough!" Now if you want to be one of those people who goes down the mountain at one mile per hour looking at all the scenery on your way down and are in the sport for the fresh air and the peace, than by all means, attempt online lessons. If you want to get the full experience of skiing. The flying off jumps and rushing down the mountain. Racing your friends and family, all the while feeling the exhilaration and excitement take over. Than steer clear of online ski lessons, for they just are not extreme enough.
