"Would Jesus be allowed to preach in the church today?"
Good question.
"Which church?" I submit.
I believe that Jesus would be permitted to preach in true Christian churches. There is much controversy concerning whether or not Jesus Himself would be accepted in His own church. How would we know? How could we prove that He was, indeed, The Christ?
We would not have to prove or disprove that it was Jesus Christ! The Holy Spirit would reveal to our hearts that it was The True Son of God-just as it would reveal to our heart that an impostor was an impostor. We would feel-beyond doubt-that it was Jesus Himself!
In our age of media and technology, I personally believe that even a broadcast of Jesus' voice would bless people beyond imagination! The Holy Bible tell us that there is power in the Word of God. What kind-and magnitude-of power do you suppose would emanate from Jesus Christ Himself teaching-in person-in the church?
As on the Day of Pentecost, I believe that there would be such power radiating from wherever Jesus was speaking that it would cause people's knees to buckle, let alone for some fool to say in his heart: "Is this man for real? Is he just another false prophet?"
From the beginning, when Satan tried to make himself equal with God in heaven, doubt has existed where faith resided.
Doubt will co-exist in the same space as faith until all things end-and there is no more purpose or sanction for doubt.
Those of us who are holding on to our faith with our last thread of strength would fight for Jesus if He were to appear and begin to preach in our churches. We would know, love and praise Him!
Those who are terrified that the God they have denounced and discarded from their lives would deny, fear, attempt to discredit and even to murder Jesus Christ were He to be found preaching today in person.
It is a simple and clear-cut division:
Those who love God-and His Beloved Son Jesus Christ-would not only permit-but welcome with unspeakable joy the miracle of Jesus coming to earth in person and blessing us with His Living Word!
The damned of this world would fear, revile and reject the teachings of this "Man" with great power who preached in the churches where He was welcomed.
Imagine the gut-wrenching fear and horror of seeing before you the very evidence that God is real-if you are one who has denounced and blasphemed Him!
This-would be the "dividing line" between which churches would-and would not permit Jesus Christ to preach in them.
