My world without a comrade

Void of a positive self esteem
A blank comprehension of self worth
A place vacant of comfort and joy
A life empty of celebration

Dark would be the road I travel
No purpose

no pleasure and no pain
Lacking in secret stories and memories from the past
No laughter
No tears
No pleasing contact or conversation
Nothing to share or to accept

No place of escape
Limits to what I can feel
Restrictions of efforts to explain
to tell

to ask

Restrictions in reasons to do

to be or to give
No real adrenaline rush or sense of touch or taste
Relations of none
No reason or results of fun
No places to hide when feeling unsafe
Resistance in planning or spontaneous actions
Loss of will and desire for change
Little effort to dream or

to wish or to learn

Senseless and little reason
to do many good deeds
Over burdened and under joyed
No place to lay my heart or hand
No place to fly to or reason to sometimes demand

This might be the way my world would be
If it was void of the friendship

that I have with you
And I hope you have with me
I would have no reason to be and would know not what to do
If I did not have a friend as precious
as the friend I have in you
