Can God ever become personal with us? Can we become personal with God? Can we have a personal relationship with God?
I feel that my own relationship with God is certainly personal if God really does after all exist, and if I am not just being personal to another hidden part of myself. If God really existed, and if my relationship with him wasn't personal, I wouldn't be interested in that sort of God anyway. I only ever want a personal God, and a personal relationship with him, or her.
Personally speaking, you have a personal relationship with me, and with God right now. What is personal, but relating one on one to another person or entity, or soul? As you, you only become personal with God, when you look at God in a personal way. And so you attract the personal side of God to you then, to have that personal relationship with God that you want.
God is all things to all people.
Personality wise, God is not personal to anyone, not even to himself, but he becomes personal to you, as you become personally personal to yourself. Ask yourself the deepest of personal questions, and you will find that God always becomes part of the answer for you to you, from yourself and from God.
Deep personal parts of yourself are seen to be the God in you, and so they answer to you as God. God is in you and you are in God, how more personal could this ever become, this relationship of yours and Gods.
For anything to become personal, we must inject our own personality into it.
For example, in our letter writing to a friend. Writing a personal letter is about character building. You show yourself so that you can be yourself, and allow the intimate levels of love to reach across the channels of karma forever embedded in family relationships, only until love points out the lessons, only to be learned from being yourself, and not acting from the karma influencing you to continue its action in your relating to the other person.
It is very similar in building a personal relationship with God, we need to be our real self to do this.
If we allow our karma, beliefs, doubts, and personal ego agenda's to build a picture of God for us, this is not really creating God as he is, but is projecting ourselves onto him, and creating our God in our own image of him. It is seeing God, only as we want to see him. We need to be entirely only ourselves, in our uniqueness of soul, rather than adding extra bits to ourselves, from our beliefs, and from our karma.
If we can drop everything that we are not, we will be
