I Needed Just A Moment More
I needed just a moment more
To kiss your lips and say...
Goodbye, my love, I'll see you soon -
Now, you be on your way...
Before you closed your eyes that day,
Drifted forever off to sleep,
I wish I could have told you
My love was yours to keep.
I wish I could have held you
In my arms once more and then
I would have just reminded you
How lovely it has been -
To live with you, to love you,
To have you in my life,
To have you as my husband,
To be your loving wife.
I wish I'd had that moment but
It wasn't meant to be -
God must've needed you that day
So much and more than me!
