Ahh! The internet! the biggest single source of unlimited information ever. No one 20 years from now could have imagined the amount of information available at the finger tips of the average user. So much information that it's getting out of hand. Using the internet everyone is now constantly connected and informed. But with all the services and help of the internet.. We also get the little things that annoy us:
HTTP 404 Errors
One of the most annoying things that I've come across is the 404 error. It happens when the computer is unable to communicate with the server. It could be that the server is down, under going maintenance or some connection problem. You have no idea when the server will b back up and when you can resume your work
Constant Connection:
Even though staying in touch is a good thing.. The 24/7 all ways on nature of the internet is annoying. No matter how much work you get done the today, more work will be being produced when you are sleeping and then you'd have to get into it
Also the constant bombardment of email is annoying. You can never not check your email for the fear of loosing out! All those *bings* and alerts informing you that you received email! Those Blackberry's and Palmtops are always in the hand for a reason!
SPAM
Ah spam! Those nifty email messages that tell you of all those cheap Rolex and those free meds.!. Coming to your inbox faster then you can handle wait.. Do I really need to mention this?
But thanks to better spam filters by Google and other services. The spam which comes directly into our inboxes has gone down
Phishing
Phishing! Argh..! How many times have I almost freaked out when I saw some "official mail" alerting me that my information was outdated and that I need to fill it out immediately.. It asks for username, passwords, date of birth, mother's maiden name and other sensitive information which is usually asked for when we register for online services: sigh. The lengths to people go to defraud you! And the time we have to spend to delete these spam and Phishing messages
Limited Bandwidth
We've all experienced this. Someone sharing the network is busy downloading large mp3 and movie files and sucking all the bandwidth. It's not just a one time thing but a constant slow speed caused by those leechers. This is one of those things that that internet creators didn't really think would be used for!
VIRUSES:
Let's not forget the humble viruses which come visit us every once in a while. They destroy our data, change the files and edit our registry. It prevents us from changing our own files and takes the computer's control away from us. Someone needs to make a virus proof internet. Or at least inform the public well enough so that they take the correct precautions
