So you have finally convinced yourself to post your own, personal work on the internet. Photos, writing, or graphic design, your original work has the right to be shared with the world.

If you are looking for the quick and easy way out, just throwing your hard work at as many people as possible, a blog might be the way to go. But in order to present your work in a skillful, stylistic manner, it makes so much more sense to use a website.

A website allows you, the creator, full control of the look, feel, and content of the site. Using a website you can present your hard work without advertisements. You can highlight the pieces that you feel should be displayed. In just a few words, you can make your site your own.

The following are just a few of the many features and unique characteristics of websites that cannot be found in blogs.

Individuality & Creativity:
Your website can be your own. Unique, individual work deserves nothing less than a unique, individual website.

No Advertisements:
With a website you can choose to present your work in an advertisement-free environment. Readers and viewers will not be distracted by unrelated material. With a website you can claim your audience's complete and undivided attention.

Features:
Websites allow the creator an abundance of features. In creating your own website you can add discussions, ratings, movies, and feedback forms. Although blogs have begun to offer more features, the sheer number and quality of them comes nowhere near that of what is available on a website.

You:
A website is all about you: your work, your ideas, and your creations. It just makes sense then that your personal work should be displayed in a way that you want it to. No templates, boxes, or lines; your website is an empty slate waiting to be filled with your own creativity.

Users:
Be nice to your readers! A website can make life so much simpler on your audience of readers or viewers. Instead of scrolling through months worth of past posts, a website allows users to quickly find the information or work that they are interested in. In this way, both you and your audience will benefit.

All in all, a website allows for creative work to be presented in a creative manner. Be kind to yourself and your audience. In utilizing a website for the presentation of your original work, you will find more success both in the number and quality of your growing audience.

Your work deserves better, and you know it!
