Reflections: But why God?

by Basel Varsally

Created on: November 23, 2008

But Why believe in God? Why know Him? Why care about Him? If you you were walking in the street and asked someone who grew and was taught that it is not necessary to believe in God/gods and told him "you have to stop being an atheist and believe in God". He/she will probably say "Why God?" This simple question needs you to have to say some pretty convincing things. About 500 million people don't believe in God. But however there is a chance that they can believe. People today don't understand God. There are many Catholics in America and the world but a portion of them grow up and know nothing about God and call themselves Christians. Some people just give up on God because He is like many other gods before. One thing you have to understand is God is always There. Why can't we see Him and Why believe in Him? We simply can't comprehend such Being. If I lived in the 10th dimension and you couldn't see me, Does that mean that I don't exist? no! It's just that I live in a higher plane of existence where I can do more and have more abilities as a being. God is the same idea. God basically exists in no Form and His nature is a mystery. Before the question Why God? there is always "Who is God?" God is a deity, best term. He controls Life and is a sustainer, protector, powerful etc... His creatures depend on Him and He doesn't depend on anything. God governs everything you see and gave it a specific command which includes us. God is supposed to be the reason on why everything came to be. You discover something new, it is made by God. But God also created the house you live in. How? The house did require men (also women if they are part of the job) but it is the Will of God that made it come to be. If God wanted this house to collapse, it will. But instead He wanted this house to be successfully built and last. No matter what you try to make, God will always be involved. Why choose God when I can choose no god? Think like this: Imagine a world where absolutely no God and gods exist. The Universe and Earth and galaxies etc.. came by a chance. The Earth world that exists in the Atheist universe contains the same problems that we have. Tell me, where would humans look up to for help? The cosmos will not be a helpful option because it is a place full of stars who are simple enough and are not conscious and full of space rock and debris. That is what makes up the cosmos. Humans in a world like this would be devastated. We may not die in a world like this because death is
