Poetry: Lessons in life

Can't you see that I'm happy?

I am. So don't waste your breath.

I'm not taking you back.

Not this time.

Not ever.

You were a waste of time.

So when you see me with another guy.

Just remember that you screwed up.

I probably was the best thing to come your way.

And now you know to appreciate what you have.

Because now you have learned from what you had.

As the days go by I will forget.

And in your heart you know you won't.

I moved on because I am strong.

I probably have already forgotten you.

I know I am amazing.

You can tell me how much you regret.

But I won't care.

Don't come crawling back to me.

I will just laugh and walk away.

You left me for her?

What did you even see in her?

Nothing. Something to screw?

What are my flaws?

I have none.

I am happy.

And I'm better off without you.

More than you will ever realize.

So next time you see me with a smile on my face.

Remember what you left, and for what.

Because you will never get this back.

Take this as a life lesson.
