Poetry: Barack Obama

by Ed Ehren

Created on: November 21, 2008

He always blames others

For what he cannot do right

He right hand even says

"Please not tonight"

He and his friends

Awashed in self pity

That for whom they voted

Ran a campaign so shitty

The "woman" he chose

For a running mate

Had more air in her head

Than an inflatable date

As she quickly returns

To the obscurity she knew

To dwell on her words

And the flies that they drew

Socialist,terrorist

Call him what they may

It was his critics conceding

At the end of the day

That who proclaimed

He would never surrender

Did so quite well

Though with not that much splendor

And to those who said

It shouldn't be done

There's one finger that says

You're still number one
