The Thanksgiving Blessing

Once in a while, you come across a good Thanksgiving story. Well this is one of them. A story that will fill you with happiness, a good laugh, and the reality of a little good old fashioned honesty.

This is just such a story, that I am about to share with you, in the hope that your Thanksgiving Day, may be filled with all of the above mentioned, plus the ingredient of wisdom added.

Natalie and Jim, a newlywed couple, were invited to Jim's parents house for Thanksgiving dinner. Jim's wife Natalie, was a beautiful black women, Jim was a handsome white man with blonde hair and blue eyes.

But to Jim and Natalie, there was no color difference, just the deep love that passed between them.

Jims family, was a good family, they welcomed everyone into their home. Everyone was the same color in their eyes. They did not judge anyone; they valued their principals highly. With the one main principal being, we are all God's children. They never judged anyone by the color of thier skin. Jim was remembering this thoughtfully, and contemplating, how fortunate he was to have such a loving family who cared for Him, and who alos loved Natalie, just as she was. As they both finished dressing and were preparing to leave their home, Natalie too, was thinking of how fortunate she was, to have parents who loved both herself and Jim.

"You're in deep thought" Jim said to Natalie as he hugged her around the waist. "I was just thinking of how fortunate we are to have parents like ours, who love us, and care for us"she said. Natalie turned around into Jims arms and they kissed deeply.

"Jim we are so lucky, you know, just so, so, lucky" Natalie sighed in his arms. "I know we are". Jim said," We have come, such along way Natalie".

She smiled, and he kissed her deeply again.

On the long drive to Jims parents house, Natalie remarked on how long it has been since they seen Jims parents, It had'nt been since thier wedding day. She was looking forward to seeing them again. She said" This is really going to be a nice day, the sunshine is out, and I am looking forward to seeing your childhood home again". Jim replied," It is going to be nice to see mom and dad again'. "But with you as my wife, it is going to be that much more special". Natalie smiled, the smile of deep love as she looked at Jim. As she stared into his eyes, It was hard for Jim to keep his eyes on the road.

"I had a nice time at your parent's house on Halloween", Jim finally said looking back again at the road. Natalie
