As every pet owner knows there are numerous questions and worries regarding your pet's health and safety. Where do you go to get answers? To brag? To learn about training? In this article I will give you 19 helpful wesites every pet owner should know to ease your cares and give you more time to enjoy your pet!
First on the list is youpet.com. This is a wonderful site. You start by making a profile for your pet. You can include pictures, stories, whatever you'd like. From there your pet can make friends, chat with other pet owners, watch/download videos. They also run different promotions, such as winning a $100 gift card for Petco. They don't discriminate from any breed or species and they have fun games as well as health information and forums for your perusal.
My second favorite site is petfinder. This is a uniquely helpful site when you are looking to adopt a new pet. You can put in the type of pet you are looking for, along with your area code, and it searches your local shelters and lets you know what is available. There are pictures and stories for almost all the available animals, so you can narrow it down to a choice few and then call or email to make more inquiries. This site also has sections devoted to training classes and seminars, as well as a lost and found, classifieds, and breed directories. Even if you are not looking to adopt another pet at this time I highly recommend you check out this site.
Animal Planet also has a wonderful site. They have lots of information on everything from the migration of butterflies to your dog's horoscope! This is a fun site for adults and kids alike. There are fun learning games as well as program listings to keep you or your child interested in all things animal related. They also have many links to other animal friendly websites in case you still can't find the answers you seek.
Are you looking for a vet? Www.localvets.com asks you to put in your zip code and then it should give you a list of the vets in your area. However, I live in a rural area and it could not find any vets for my location. GrowingLifestyle however, has all sorts of different links to veterinary resources as well as links to pet stores, pet meds, pet foods, as well as a search engine to help you quickly and easily find just what you are looking for. JustAnswer.pet has vets online at all hours to answer all sorts of questions. They are patient and understanding and willing to help, for a small fee. You pick what sort of expert you need, from avian
