Carl Jung explained that at any precise, given point and time, the sun, the moon and the stars and planets are at a specified point in the sky. An astrologer plots the interpretation of a horoscope on these positions at the specified time and place of birth.

The time of birth is very important since the celestial bodies are constantly in motion, they rise and fall throughout the day. These are the data an astrologer plots the birth chart to show how the planets are aligned at the time of birth. The zodiac or sun sign represents the temperament of the person and who the basic person is. Astrology interprets how they process things, how they interact with others, how they deal with their emotions and relationships. This is a personal reading pertinent only to the person born at that particular time.

The moon sign in the horoscope is entirely different from the sun sign interpretation. The moon deals with the inner and emotional part of the individual. Whether they tend to be interactive or withdrawn. It measures the person's vulnerabilities, intuition and fears. One born under Virgo can have Pisces as their moon sign.

The rising sign or ascendant is the zodiac that was rising at the time of birth in the eastern horizon. The ascendant sign represents how the person is perceived by others and the impression they make. This is a different sign form the sun sign and moon sign.

The daily horoscope can give more meaning if a person understands all these three signs, the sun, moon and ascendant. This gives a more personal meaning on how their day will turn out to be.

Astrology is all about the position of the planets in the Solar system plus the sun and the moon at the time of birth. The angles and inter-relationships of the planets on the birth chart has been observed and interpreted over centuries.

Why do the planets and the moon have such an impact in the interpretation? The gravity of the moon affects the rise and fall of the sea as tides. The human brain contains a lot of water. The planets exert gravitational pull on each other and on man. It may not be a strong pull but the ecosystem we live in is sensitive enough to feel the effect.

The outer rim of the horoscope wheel represents the zodiac circle of animals containing the signs. Twelve sectors of the zodiac, once approximately coinciding with named constellations, have been found to be especially significant in astrology. These represent the astrological signs. The planets and luminaries (Sun and Moon) move through
