Giving up a child would be about the hardest decision one may ever have to make, but you need to do whatever is best for the child. There are many reasons to give up a child. The parents are too young, and have not even finished school. A child is born out of wedlock and is not wanted by either parent. There are multiple reasons, but that isn't the issue. The needs of the child has to come first.

This little child didn't have a choice when conception happened. They just become the aftermath. Giving a child up is far better than aborting it. You have just taken a life. A life that had the right to live. Loving your child sometimes means letting go. You can get on with your life, and your child has a chance to have one. It won't be easy, especially if you love your baby, but you will know that your child will have all the things that you can't give them.

Many children go home with the mother or both parents, only to be abused or neglected. Sometimes both. They don't deserve to be treated this way. Babies are so cute in the hospital, but the reality sets in when it's time to take them home. They become a 24 hour, 7 day a week job. Sleep comes in spurts, babies cry, they need to be fed on a schedule . They need to be bathed, burped, and some are colicky.

Crying babies drive some parents to actually abuse their own child because they are stressed beyond the limit, and can no longer deal with it. That's why many babies die from shaken baby syndrome. Some wind up getting smothered with a pillow just to shut them up. It wasn't meant to happen, but it did.

Most people are to ashamed to ask for help. and so they try to endure it. It's okay to admit that you're not ready to be a parent. Get some help before something happens that can't be fixed. Giving the child up is not a bad thing.

As many people as there are wanting to adopt a child, finding them a good home would not be a problem. Adoption agencies screen all prospective clients to see if they are the right family for the child. This type of adoption works the best.

Some children are taken at birth and placed in the arms of their new adoptive parents. They will have all that they need and more. Some children never find out that they were adopted until they become adults. They had the love of a family that really wanted them.

One thing that has always bothered me. Some people want a child so bad, and would make wonderful parents. But they are told that their house is too small, or they don't make enough money. Yet, a lot of people who adopt, and have money, raise their children with a nanny. Wouldn't a mother and dad be so much better?

Abortion is never the solution to an unwanted pregnancy. Ask someone who has had one, and see what they have to live with. Some women don't actually care, and then there are the ones that acted first out of fear and desperation. The reality comes later when you wake up, and realize that you have taken the life of your own baby. It's a heavy burden to carry for the rest of your life.

Being selfish would be to keep the baby, and neglect it. You wind up abusing the child. You can't force yourself to love this child, so what was the point in keeping it. Babies don't ask to be born. Don't be selfish, forfeit the child and do both of you a favor. Move on and don't look back. Give the baby a chance. You'll be a better person for it.
