Improve your overall health by losing ten percent of your body weight. If you weigh 240 pounds, all you have to lose is 24 pounds and you will become healthier. Certainly, it may seem like a lot of weight to lose now, but in reality it really isn't. And guess what? It really isn't that difficult to do. Do you want to know how to lose 10 percent of your body weight and live a healthier life? Read on.
Below are the ways to lose ten percent of your total body weight without gimmicks, strange diets, or spending money on some weight loss book, or making someone else rich by buying their weight loss plan. I'll tell you for free.
First, here is the sales pitch on what losing ten percent of your total weight will do to make you feel better. You will be losing enough weight to breath easier. You will be losing enough weight to get up off that couch, and to move around easier. You will be able to look at yourself in the mirror and feel proud of what you have accomplished and how terrific you look once you lose the necessary weight.
You will lower your blood pressure, your cholesterol level, and help fend off diseases such as cancer and diabetes. You will be able to get a good night of sleep also due to the weight lost. Losing the weight will give you the incentive to lose even more weight.
How can you lose the necessary weight to look and feel better?
Look at food differently. You should eat food to live, not live for food. You need to set daily food limits. No longer does food have to be your reward for a great day, or for a job done well. You need to find other ways to reward yourself and not use food as a comfort for bad days and lost relationships. You also want to not eat food to hide your feelings such as being angry with someone close to you. You need to create hobbies and strengths for yourself that make you feel good, instead or feeling good by eating food.
Set up an exercise plan to lose the weight to feel better. Set goals for your exercise plan so that you will work out five to six days a week for a certain amount of time. Go for regular walks to lose the weight. Walk outside in the fresh air and look at all nature has to offer. It's more interesting than staying inside and exercising on a piece of equipment and staring at the same wall.
By working out you will be relieving unwanted stress. That will make you feel better by keeping your blood pressure lower and it will help fight off heart disease.
Once you lose ten percent of your total body weight by eating healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits and by drinking plenty of water every day, you will feel better. You don't have to starve yourself either! Limit your portion size, or cut back on fattening foods. Don't have desert for several days. Eat a salad with low-fat dressing instead of a cheeseburger with French fries for lunch several days a week. Drink low calorie drinks, and more water to fill up on instead of eating too much. Fill up on celery and carrot sticks with a low calorie dip or salad dressing that is really tasty. Stop eating when you feel full. And you don't have to do what your Mother said. You don't have to finish everything on your plate.
It's a lot to digest at once, (like the play on words?). But with practice you will be certain to lose the determined amount of weight. Remember you only have to lose ten percent of your total weight to look and feel so much better.
