Our Government has become a "benevolent despot." Everyone with half a brain knows the US Government has grown into a gargantuan, uncontrollable monster; Left and Right political philosophies not withstanding, the wheels are coming off the wagon. America started out as a REPUBLIC and we have become a socialist democracy full of Sheep and Power Elites. We the People are to blame because we didn't stay informed. By increments over the years using one bill or executive order at a time, our freedoms have been erased in the name of "security."

One branch after another has been created to solve all the public's problems. Government waste and subterfuge have become the order of the day. A week doesn't seem to pass before another congressman falls from grace due to some criminal activity unveiled or some intolerable moral conduct exposed.

Of course the US Government needs to downsize, but that will never happen. Too many people behind-the-scenes run the show and have a lot of money to back up their agendas (the Central Banks and the Federal Reserve control ALL the money). I love this Ezra Pound quote: "Until you know who has lent what to whom, you know nothing whatever of politics or history." WE THE PEOPLE are not in control anymore; we tried to let our voices count in the recent bailout and were completely ignored. New powers in the White House may try to change things; however, there are a lot of people in control behind the scenes that will simply tell the new administration "This is how it is going to be."

You could trim down the Government by getting rid of all the departments not allowed by the US Constitution, which is most of them - that will never happen. You could trim down the Government by trying to actually balance the budget - never happen. We could go back on the Gold standard and get rid of the Federal Reserve for true freedom - that will never happen (one President tried and is dead). Alas, I am afraid we are in a new order being structured for world power politics.

Unless the people get a clue that both political parties are run by the same club members behind the scenes, we are doomed to become a North American Union or whatever name the global powers want to call us. Hang on to your hats as we ride the waves down to a "new financial structure" proposed by the G-20 meetings where they want to revalue the "dollar." WAKE UP PEOPLE!
