What is an honest politician? Can you give me an example of one that you know of? While your at it, I would like to know your definition of exactly what an "honest politician" is and the personal qualifications they would have. And since "honest" is the desired characteristic you seek, I would also like to know if this person has taken a lie detector test stating they have never and do not ever intend to lie to anyone for any reason. If no honest politician has ever been elected then who are you referring to? Is it o.k. for them to tell little white lies? If their wife or husband asks them how he or she looks and they say what will make the other one feel good, are they a bad person? If they stole a piece of candy at the age of five while grocery shopping with mom, are they disqualified from ever running for any political office? If they tell a large group of people something they believe needs to change and are unable to make that change even if they wanted to, does that make them dishonest? Since we vote for the people who are elected, what is our responsibility in all of this?

I am now thirty years old and have participated in three najor elections. At times there were candidates on both sides that I just couldn't believe in so I chose to vote for neither. If I thought it was my task to choose the lesser of two evils, I wouldn't bother to concern my self with anything or anyone involved in politics. Why fight or stand up for what I believe in if my attitude is so pessimistic that I am convinced that I am only one person, and could never make an impact on anything or anyone?
I am an avid follower of politics and any other topic I feel compassionate about. Let me give you an example. The first time I registered to vote I was registered as a "Republican". Somewhere along the way I decided I only shared some of their political beliefs and it was just not enough to classify myself as one of them. I then registered as an
