There are so many versions of cabbage salad as long as you have the cabbage in your salad you are free to add whatever other ingredients you like. The recipe below is what I put in my cabbage salad you can omit any of the ingredients you don't like and simply replace them with ones you do like. The dressing is an added bonus but not necessary, a cup of Italian dressing or some vinaigrette and lemon juice will work just fine as well.
Ingredients
1 head of green cabbage (chopped)
1 head of purple cabbage (chopped)
1/2 cup of carrots (chopped)
1 small onion (diced)
1/4 cup of celery (chopped)
1 medium size cucumber (peeled and chopped)
3 green onions (chopped)
1/2 cup almond halves (optional)
2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
DRESSING
1 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of water
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of dry mustard
1 tablespoon of ground cumin
Mix well
PREPARATION
