Meeting, a whirlwind, a hurricane
Gently kissing handOh how iimpressed
Eyes, meet with sincerity
The trap could not be seen
Then broken promises followed by sleeping with another.
Drug addiction, words of affliction,
Forever hearing, never listening,
Keeping secrets
Smiling faces, telling lies, saying good-byes
Abandoning a child beguiled for awhile
Bedroom eyes oh what lies!
Leaving when really needed- so conceited
Hurting badly, missing you sadly
Hating you madly, broken hearted and broken words,
Dilapidated downright disturbed!
Accustomed to every trick,
Hoping for change, so much work remains
Many tears, Loneliness progressed, affection deficient
Infidelity abounds like a hound, a predator lusting for prey
Out in the open- nobody cared
The neighbor's children knew but didn't dare
Tell the one that really cared
Many years wasted, thrown away, never to be replaced
So badly want to erase
Things done, spun intentionally
To hurt mutilate, disgrace the one that loved the most
Now no need for that silly one
Who stuck to the hope of change and fun?
No apologies no remorse
How can one forget the thief, whom stole
Heart and mind?
True love- can one find?
What a sad situation, indeed
The memory will always linger, it won't leave
Abandoning many years together
For a chase, the grass,
Really not green at all
Just a fatal fall
Broken hearted- broken words,
That's all!

Man and Woman no longer one.
Life was meant to be enjoyed.
Laughter,
Broken words are not for me,
I speak loud and clear.
You just choose not to see,
My wanting to be free.

I promise,
Always and forever.
Turns about to be,
Broken and never.
I love you and,
You are my world.

Broken Promise
A man, passing a certain point
on a certain sidewalk,
looks back,
reflects upon his being
and is beset by memories.
