Poetry: Finding yourself

by Nicolas Verhoeven

Created on: November 19, 2008

I.
I will die loving you,
I will die loving you,

Irresistible loyalty fogging the mind,
Ingenious simplicity holding you snug to my body,
Impassable bind holding me to you and you to me,
Independent Truth between us lies.

I will die loving you,
I will die loving you,

Impoverished others will live their lives unfulfilled, but I have you,
Inseparable from mind and body, you are my God, I love thee so,
Inconclusive others will fall to their demise in agony, torn from their "loved" ones, but I have you,
Irreplaceable in every sense of the word, you are my God, I love thee so,

I will die loving you,
I will die loving you,

In my tune I will find you always, for I love thee so,
In my tragedy I will come to you, for I love thee so,
In my happiness I will turn to you, for I love thee so,
In my ending I will turn to you, for I love thee so,

I will die loving you,
I will die loving you,

I am you, and You of my essence, of my complexity, of my workings, of my mixing, of my physical and mental entirety, of my reliance, of my Godlike prowess and once again, you are me and I... I am you.

I love thee, Self.
