Out in the darkness a person stands, a lifetime of choices or unfinished plans.
Into thier vision a fork in the road, many paths they could take with the destination not known.
The oak tree that divides them a branch points the way. No time to stand there thinking as time ticks away.
The leaves begin falling covering the paths, The oak tree is wilting and whithering where it stands.
You look at your hands to see the same fate ,roots begin sprouting from your feet in the shade.
You quickily choose and run to the right, look back at the oak tree and see quite a sight.
The tree is just fine it stands sturdy and strong, it's the choice to keep going that pushes you on.
Theres no roots on your feet, and your hands are just fine.
Theres one thing you need to know about time.
Time keeps moving whether you move with it or not.
You can't slow down time but you can make your life stop.
