completions and Rex Grossman(Chi) came in 17th with 262 completions. Peyton Manning(Ind) then led the remaining four quarterbacks in completion percentage with 65.0%. Drew Brees(NO) came in second with 64.3% while Tom Brady came in next with 61.8% and Rex Grossman(Chi) came in last with 54.6%. In many aspects these four team captains are equaled by their very presence in the championships. For every statistical fact that may favor one over another there are facts that will counter this belief. For instance, Drew Brees(NO) had more passing yards than any other quarterback during the regular season and Peyton Manning(Ind) threw more touchdown passes than any other quarterback during the regular season. With so many differences and similarities the only way to make a prediction may be to use an intangible category such as "desire" for measurement of our four remaining team's offenses.
Football is also a game about running which is commonly referred to as rushing. Our four remaining teams are all within the top twenty teams of the regular season for rushing touchdowns. Of our four remaining teams Corey Dillon(NE) rushed for the most touchdowns. Corey Dillon(NE) rushed for 812 yards and 13 touchdowns during the regular season. Deuce McAllister(NO) rushed for 1057 yards and 10 touchdowns while Joseph Addai(Ind) rushed for 1081 yards and 7 touchdowns. Chicago's Cedric Benson rushed for 647 yards and 6 touchdowns. Running the ball is as important if not more so than throwing and passing the ball. This still leaves us virtually even in predicting a champion for the 2007 Superbowl.
There may come a time in the remaining games when an outcome may be decided upon a kick. Robbie Gould(Chi) led the NFL in kicking points during the regular season with 143 points. He made 47 extra points and 32 field goals. John Carney(NO) came in 9th on the kicking points statistics with 115 points. He made 46 extra points and 23 field goals. Adam Vinatieri(Ind) came in 12th with 113 kicking points. He made 38 extra points and 25 field goals while Stephen Gostkowski(NE) came in 18th with 103 kicking points. He made 43 extra points and 20 field goals.
Does this mean that Chicago is better at kicking than our three other contenders? If so, is New England's Corey Dillon better at rushing touchdowns than any other players from our remaining teams? Only time will tell and the outcome decided by the fate.
Close to the end of our tools for decision making are the unfavorable categories of turnovers,
