Wives tend to be extremely busy people. They clean the house, do the laundry, do the dishes, cook the meals, do the grocery shopping, take care of the children, balance the checkbook and pay the bills, keep everyone on schedule, and they work. Put all of this into one day and that make a very busy day. That does not include any of the self maintenance we all do such as bathing. A married woman is busy and would like to see some help from her husband. What kind of help is she looking for?
Many wives have accepted the fact that they are in charge of cleaning house. Some even get aggravated at the husbands for cleaning because they do not know where everything goes and they guess. Kudos to the men that do try to help even if it gets you in trouble. What wives do love to see is the husbands picking up after themselves. When you are finished eating, take your plate into the kitchen. Do not leave that soda can sitting on the coffee table. Rinse out the sink when you are done shaving. Do not leave you dirty laundry sitting on the floor next to the bed; put them in the hamper that is an arms length away.
Wives love it when husbands help with cooking meals. If they have little ones running around the house, husbands can entertain the children so the wives can devote the time needed for the meal to the meal. It is really difficult to produce a wonderful tasting dish when you have to leave the stove to chase a child out of the bathroom, or break up fights. If there are no children or the children are old enough to be out of sight for more than ten minutes, the help of husbands in the kitchen is more than welcomed. They can come in and set the table, chop onions, wash the dishes or at least put them in the dishwasher, or just provide some company.
No couple stays home forever. There are always functions to go to. These are extremely busy times for wives. The biggest thing wives would love husbands to do is get ready more then ten minutes before it is time to leave. Do not wait until last minute. If there are children about, help them get ready. Pack a diaper bag if there is one. Moms may have a tendency to double check everything is in the bag, but it is a time saver when they do not have to run around the house looking for everything. Help get the children ready. There are clothes to be put on, shoes to find, where did that sock go, do not play with that, let's change out of that shirt, it is dirty now.
One of the most important things wives want from husbands is for them to show support. They can provide this by giving hugs when arriving at home, listening to problems, or just saying I am here for you'. A supporting husband is a husband that shows his love and all women want to be loved.
Wives do not typically expect the world out of their husbands, but they do appreciate a little help here and there. Husbands that do more than come home from work and sit in front of the television expecting everything to be done are more appreciated and usually see the benefits of their hard work.
