Is mankind evil by nature?
Mankind invented the concepts of good and evil. Our ancestors knew the difference between the law of the land and the law of the sky - the Gods, much like it is now with the Church and the State. To them there was something strange about the word 'good'. It felt different. It commanded them to feel a different type of satisfaction. There was something about society's written code, despite the way it was followed, that made life something to really be cherished.
It is our realest, most genius invention. The media can print and show our dark side all they want in the murder stories, conspiracies, and natural disasters. We invented the word 'evil' because we saw it manifest in our behavior and in the behavior of the animals in the chaotic jungle.
Evil is uncivilized. Evil became what the law sought to destroy. One of the greatest and rare facets of religion is the word of what is good - what is meant to happen. What is the will of God.
But mankind invented religion as well.
It's always been the will of man.
God is the symbol of our manifestation in the natural universe. It is the ultimate idea of our avatar; what we will look like in the evolutionary paradigm. Centuries of interpretations of the meaning of 'good' integrated differently into different societies. It's such a shame that mankind's pursuit of good, the heavens, and the very meaning of life, is something they all share.
The tragedy is that wars and violence toward other religions were against the very written laws of the religions. People don't realize that in the same way that man's knowledge of technology evolved, the same has happened in his knowledge of the existence of God. And coded religion today was simply the preservation of what we knew thousands of years ago.
A thousand years ago we didn't have the space shuttle, the Internet, computers, laptops, and the concept of democracy. That's because we adapted to evidence and change. We became smarter. Our understanding of life through science and art became powerful.
Religion is still an art, you see, for it shapes the very speed at which society runs. It shapes the entire world and will continue to live on even when we are able to colonize different planets. God is real in a way because he is a symbol. He is immortal in the days of our lives and He's going to live on in the world in the days of our children and their children, as real as mankind's invention of the concept of good.
Don't believe religion has a real impact on what
