Father And Son

Hey there, I'm OK I just popped in to here you say "Love you, going out to play" Another day to dream away

Now, now, don't you frown Don't let a cut knee get you down There, there, the pains all gone Five thousand bear hugs before dawn

Ha, ha, watch that smile You know you've got me all the while It has me run that extra mile You wear your charms in breathless style

Hey lad, come and see Let us get down on bended knee Look out as far as you can see This world was made for you and me

Wow boy, you've grown so much since last I can't keep up, you run too fast My father told me in the past These very words that I just cast

Page two, three and four Five six and twenty thousand more We never know just what's in store In story books, well that's for sure

Night, night, you sleep tight You know I'm never out of sight And when you wake in morning light We'll play once more into the night

By, bye, don't you cry Another weekend past us by I must have grit here in my eye Lets hope these five days will just fly

Hey there, I'm OK Another week to fade away
