Poetry: The day love died

by Heather Warner

Created on: November 17, 2008   Last Updated: March 16, 2011

Alone in solitude I sit and cry,

Thinking of true love I let pass me by.

Tears flow down the cheeks you used to touch,

Pain strikes my heart where you meant so much.

Emptiness fills every depth of my soul,

Since you said goodbye, my heart has not been whole.

Regret and sorrow is now what I feel,

Living here without you doesn't seem real.

Without you I see no hope, no light,

I live in a world of pain and continuous night.

I must apologize for causing your tears,

And pushing you away because of my fears.
