The first 100 days of a Presidency can set the course for the remainder of a President's four year term. President Barrack Obama probably hasn't done his homework for the first 100 days of his administration well enough to pass the test of making substantive reform sufficient to rate the title of change'. Obama should set the economy on to a course of low carbon technological infrastructure in renewable and non-expansive ecological economic policy as the former preseident of the world bank Nicholas Stern suggest in the New Scientist.

Barrack Obama like Presidents since Ronald Regan have forgotten how to lead in governing the U.S.A. Reagan had the advantage of acting solely pro-business coinciding with moving the economy forward within the governing boundary parameters of the cold war. Since the end of the cold war U.S. Presidents have acted largely in support of global business while placing the business of governing the U.S.A. second. Business is an implicitly monomaniacal activity without interest in governing. It is as fanatical as a baby bird in a nest in the getting of the worm in the flying in beak government for democratic interests simply isn't in the thoughts of business. President Obama's first 100 days should move the nation to an unshakable course of energy independence founded upon fuels that can be produced or captured by individuals at home and business through wind, solar and fuel cell power.

The glamour of the television cult celebrity has overtaken the office of the President of the United States since 1960 and the widespread owning of television sets in the United States to the detriment of content of character and qualification. While Lancelot did cuckold wise old King Arthur in the mythical/historical Camelot and win the hand of the fair adulteress Guinevere in the process it has little relevance to the focus a President must have upon taking office and getting substantial work done in the first 100 days of office; it is in fact a distracting and inappropriate influence upon the functional office of the President of the United States.
President Obama should avoid making fundamental mistakes during his first 100 days that will forfeit political credits needed to get the hard work done. Make no mistake about it-the
