Finding peace through inner healing isn't near as complicated as one would think. Making time for ourselves has got to become common behavior if we are to feel well, be well and stay well. If we cannot take the time for ourselves, then we are disrespecting ourselves in a sense. We cannot offer the best of ourselves to others if we don't take the time to care for ourselves. Tons of time is not necessary, but consistency surely is required.
For many years, I have gravitated toward other forms of treatments when I was less than one hundred percent healthy. It seems to go against my grain to put drugs in my body. I believe the body has the ability to heal itself when given the proper tools. In a continuing search to always feel better and stay well, I have discovered a therapy which I refer to as "emotional accupuncture." It is a series of tapping on numerous meridians which are the pathways of our energies. When these meridians are blocked, we suffer in some way. It is a fairly simple procedure, but it is serious business. One needs to understand that the mind and the body work together.
This procedure can be used on a multitude of issues, both physical and emotional. It almost seems too good to be true. It is not to be taken lightly and/or assumed that you can become expert at it without much thought or knowledge. It would be a great place to start by reading about it and then attempting to apply it to one's self. This is how I began using this therapy.
As an example, if I had a backache, I might try applying this technique. I would find a comfortable spot to sit and relax with no distractions. Then I would first assess on a scale of one to ten just how intense I felt this pain. Then I would create an affirmative statement such as, "Even though I have this awful pain in my back, I totally accept myself. The tapping would occur while stating this sentence. The first tapping meridian is on the side of the hand. The best description is the "karate chop". You tap with the fingers of one hand on the "karate chop" area of the other hand while speaking your statement. Do this three times. All tapping spots thereafter require one statement at each site. The next meridian spot is the area over either eye. As you speak, tap that area. Move to the side or temple area and keep repeating the statement. The next spot is under the eye. Each spot calls for repeating the statement. The next spots are under the nose, on the chin, on the collarbone, under the arm and finally
