Accepting payments online might seem hard in the beginning, but once you get started, it will be same as receiving your check from the bank. There are many frauds online asking for financial information and taking all your funds. This is why it is important only to create an account on well established and well regulated sites.

Most sites work in a similar way, but there are many sites which have hidden charges, problems with withdrawing, funds scams, etc. To make sure you are on the safe side make sure you only create an account at any of the following payment processors which can be used to receive and send payments online.

To receive an online payment, there are many different options such as:

1. Paypal: This is one of the most common types of payment processors and one of the safest. Helium (the site you are reading this article on) also pays through Paypal, and there have never been problems with the payment. The money is transferred to the bank account within a couple of days or less. Paypal is also very easy to purchase things online and receiving money for trades.

2. Moneybookers: Similar to paypal Moneybookers is another electronic wallet which lets you deposit, withdraw, receive funds online in a safe and timely manner. Moneybookers is more popular in countries outside U.S. and is considered to be more global than paypal.

3. Click and Buy: This works exactly like Moneybookers and Paypal. Most of the payment processors online work in a similar manner and click and buy is another form of online payment processor. Click and Buy is popular among the affiliate programs. For some reason many affiliate programs pay through Click and Buy, you if you are an affiliate consider making an account on Click and Buy.

4. Visa/MasterCard: Some companies will send you payments to your bank account or your Visa/MasterCard. Online gambling casinos will accept Visa and MasterCard. The advantage is that you will not need to create an account on a payment processor. But my advice to anyone who makes frequent payments or receives funds is to create an account at a payment processor to make your life much easier.

These were some of the many options which I personally use and recommend making and receiving payments online. Do not be a fool and give your credit card information to all sites. Create an account; give your credit card number only once through a safe computer and you will never need to submit your credit card number to unsafe sites.
