Your large eyes were aged well
and struggled against the sun
to see the words of Dan Brown
floating on pages that blew in the wind.
And your eyes, they reddened,
and smiled with the same excitement
that came exploding from your wrists
and the dampness on your lips
could melt hearts
or crush stones.
