Our world will have been greatly altered by the year 2012. Barack Obama will have fulfilled his promise of making the United States independent from foreign oil sources, and the age of Individual Rights will again spring up, opening society up to new ideas and ways of thinking. The poor will become more or less equal to the middle class and the wealthy will see their revenue slowly level off. While the explosion of individuality will free us from the oppression and hatred suffered in 2008, it will also lead to a new generation of self-interested and lazy people. Taxes will be increased, but the government will become much more concerned with helping the people rather than the wealthy few. Americans will pull out of Iraq and increase their forces in Afghanistan. Citizens will see the restoration of their constitutional rights and a decrease in government interference. However, unemployment will rise due to increases in welfare and unemployment benefits. President Obama will have fulfilled many of the promises he made to the American people. People will become lawless and there will be an ultimate rebellion against authority. The "peacekeeping" forces such as the Military and the National Security Agency will wield virtually no power with which to keep the revolution down. Under the future President, America will become something of a socialist state with economic equality between what was once the middle and lower classes. Wealth will be spread evenly, and people will no longer be slaves to the wealthy capitalists of the country.
Through discussion and negotiation, many of the countries in the Middle East will finally shelve their hatred for or jealousy of America. People of all creeds, colors, religions, and beliefs will finally be able to accept each other the way they are. The youthful generation will see another uprising like that of the 1960's and America will finally be able to exist the way it was meant to again, as a Democracy with government of the people, by the people, for the people. The Federal Government will finally be able to put tax dollars to work for the people, rather than wasting millions on a war few taxpayers support. There will be economic reforms similar to those that FDR used to save our country from the Great Depression, and millions of jobs will be created by newly formed government agencies. People as a whole will be satisfied with the reforms that have come to pass, and will choose to re-elect President Obama should he choose to run again in 2012.
Another historical choice will be made for the Republican Party in 2012. In this new age of free thought and openness, they will make a so-called "radical" choice for the Presidential Campaign, such as when a woman Vice President ran on the Republican ticket in 2008. The Democrats will have retained their hold on Congress and still control much of the House and Senate. Many of the reforms the President says he will propose will be passed by the liberal congress, while the Republicans will struggle for increased representation in congress.
