Saving money does not have to be difficult. There are ways to make conserving your money simple. To make it easy on yourself, you could automatically have part of your paycheck put into your savings account, save your loose change or pay yourself first. These are just some of the methods you could utilize to make the most out of your hard earned money.
In the generation we live in now, saving is put on the back burner. It is seen as something to do at the last minute. As we've all sadly learned, it is not a wise to continue spending money without saving it. We've seen some of the largest conglomerates crumble because of greed. If it can happen to them, it can happen to you.
Make saving a part of your life. As I mentioned earlier, you could have a portion of your earnings directly deposited into your account. How? Connect a high yield savings account to your external checking account by sending out a void check. This will route there account to your account number. Within 5 to 7 days you should be connected. Schedule the withdrawals around your pay period. This ways the account won't overdraw. This can be done in a matter of minutes. If you do not have this, get it as soon as possible.
When you have time save the change you make from breaking paper bills like 20's and 50's. Purchase a piggy bank and put the change in it. Do this right before you go to sleep. This includes pennies as well. Every dime counts. Do this consistently for the whole year. At the end of the year take the change you have and put into your Coin Star. This machine transforms coins into paper dollars. Take this money and put in your savings account.
Disconnect your appliances and this will save you money in energy costs. You will find that you will not have to spend as much money in this area. Start today. Make saving money a part of your lifestyle by reducing the amount of time you eat out and go to the movies. Keep some money in your pocket. Make your lunch at home instead of buying it when you go to work. If you live close to work, try walking instead. Exercise in the morning and save cash. Try doing your hair yourself. Do your own nails. You could even go natural with your nails. Do your own pedicure. If you can do these things yourself, why pay someone else? Keep your money.
Get into the habit of paying yourself first. Get up in the morning and put a few dollars in your pocket. This is simple and fast. Make your life easier. It also helps to have your piggy bank in front of you. Get your mindset on conserving and you will do it more often.
