Tonight, I thank God,
Though I feel a little odd...
I used to know the way,
A prayer you should say.
When I feel bad inside,
I blame others or hide...
God, I do not pray,
If my heart sees grey.
Yet, in the dark tonight,
I thank God for the fight...
Since, again, I have won
Against the evil's pawn.
God, the guide within,
Pleads under my skin
For my soul to blossom.
God, no good no bad,
Makes me often glad...
God, at times wise,
Brings joy to my eyes.
God, I pray to you
For the people you love...
I don't feel you above,
But in my heart beating,
But in my soul searching,
For everyday, thank you.
