Old verses
Come back to haunt
Devilish rhymes
Of truths once known
Turns out
It wasn't true
Their metaphors
Claw at my heart
I'll make a choice
Right now
To make the scars
My war paint
To carry those poems
As a third arm
As a shield
Truths come and go
Acceptance remains
So does a smile
As long
As you care
To keep its company
