There are many products in every drugstore that guarantee to zap your skin mole away in three days. It's quick, easy, inexpensive, harmless, and pain free. Unless you've spent eight years in medical school, the best way to get rid of a skin mole is to first seek the help of a physician.

Skin moles need to be examined by a physician to rule out skin cancer, or other very serious skin ailments. If your skin mole isn't a cancerous lesion, you can then consider other alternative methods.

Surgery is one way to go. Depending on the size of the mole, surgery may leave scarring. The technique utilized for smaller moles is known as shaving'. But the larger skin moles require stages, taking a little at a time'. However, whether small or big this method is prone to permanent scarring, which actually defeats the purpose.

Laser treatments and chemical peels are other possible methods. With laser treatments, the nerve tissue is destroyed. But the skin mole can reoccur. Both laser treatment and chemical peels have the risk of infection, nerve damage, and skin lesions (burning).

Many people do opt for drugstore creams and lotions to get rid of skin moles. These products have chemicals in them, and the side effects can create other skin problems. Before investing money in these products, read all of the possible side effects, and check to make sure any current medication you're taking will not be affected by using one of these products.

The best method to get rid of a skin mole is to first try a prescribed treatment plan that you can use at home. One product highly recommended is liquid nitrogen treatment known as freezing'. You can apply this product directly to the mole. This way you can monitor how your skin is responding to the treatment. If you notice any negative reaction, you can immediately stop treatment.

According to the experts, skin moles are a natural part of the body, and most people have them. People generally desire to get rid of them simply for cosmetic purposes. However, getting rid of skin moles shouldn't be taken likely. Consider all the possible options, and weigh the risk before undergoing any treatment plan. The risks are insurmountable considering nerve damage, permanent skin problems, and allergic reaction to anesthetic. After all of this, you may wake up one day and discover that the mole has returned.

Getting rid of your skin mole require a little diligence on your part. By considering all the available methods, you will save time and money, and have the least amount of risk involved.
