Reflections: Deciding on a career path at my own pace

and had an admission interview once, eventually, I was rejected year after year. I tried to get closer to the so-called dream as I finally understood I would not reach it... nothing happened because somehow along the way I fell off my cloud. In the end, I became an assistant manager in spite of everything else, but it was better than the alternative I would have gotten if I had dropped out of school.

I am a good assistant manager, but does it mean I should make a career out of it? Of course, if I enjoy it... that is what I would say. What would society say? Or the worldwide economical situation? It is not important if you do not like it, it is good money... consider yourself lucky to have that. Yes... so being unhappy at work can be overlooked?

Have you watched the news lately? The world is going crazy... Tell me, if people were happy, fulfilled and proud of themselves with their achievements, would the world look the same?

We all know where the solutions are... kids should not have to choose a career before they know what makes them tic... what fulfils them... what brings joy to their heart... and know that kind of things takes time... to each person ones own pace and an elder by ones side for guidance... if it is not enough (it generally is not, no matter the age expectations), allow oneself some soul searching... Indeed, nobody can figure out what career to choose if one does not know oneself. It cannot be more simple.

But society was not created for the big masses to be happy... was it.
