For you survived the casting of the dice.
It is no easy thing you have achieved,
Rejoice! success! but do not be deceived:
Each lasting thing requires sacrifice.
Your groupies will be quick to give advice
On hope of short term gains to be received,
Unheeding of the greater fabric weaved:
Remember, every action has a price.
Yours is the pow'r to silence all dissent.
Embarking on that path will tempting be,
Since who does not prefer to hear assent
Marred not at all by rougher honesty?
Expelling rubble does not set cement,
Nor flowing sycophancy make us free.
