A cosmetology license is right for you if you enjoy the art of makeover. Some people have the gift at giving others their best look. If you are that person, this is the field for you.

This field is especially designed for those with the gift of artistry. It is for those who have the artistic eye to bring not only color but style to life. It is for the one who know style at first glance and have the hands to duplicate miraculously, what the eyes have seen. It is for those who have the ability to reconstruct, transform, and mold.

There are many who might say, "That's me!" Well, let's get informed. Cosmetology not only entails art, it involves discipline, attentiveness, and cleanliness. Like with many sciences, it can also be a dangerous field that can be harmful to ones health. As a cosmetologist, you are expected to give your clients your best at all times. In this field, giving your best starts with timeliness, personal hygiene, and personal persona. You have to look the part and the way you look can very well help to establish you in this business.

Let's deal with timeliness and discipline. As a cosmetologist you often have the ability to make your own appointments. It takes discipline to be where you need to be, on time, and ready to what you have to do. This would not be the right field for a person who is always late and never in a hurry to do anything. Customers are more likely to give their hard earned money to someone who is on time versus someone who is an awesome craftsmen.

Now concerning attentiveness; you must be attentive to your clients needs. If you are the type of person who wants things always to be done your way, this is not the license or profession that you need. This field requires you to listen. Not only to your clients wishes or desires, but also sometimes to their problems. People who choose to go to a cosmetologist often finds their place of employment as a place to break-away. So, your clients may require more than you thought you were going to give.

You must also be attentive and careful concerning the chemicals that you will be using. This field requires that you pay close attention to not just detail but also to instructions. The benefits are being self-employed, great income, making your own schedule, meeting tons of new people, and last but not least, making people look beautiful.
